Abel is a bilingual master’s-level counselor currently working toward licensure and accepting new clients. He earned his master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Pentecostal Theological Seminary. Abel works with individuals, couples, and teens, and feels honored to support clients through both difficult and transformative seasons of life.He believes that whether you are facing grief, anxiety, depression, life transitions, or other clinical mental health concerns, there is always hope for growth and healing. Abel’s therapeutic approach centers on creating a warm, safe, and supportive environment where clients can explore their stories at their own pace.
Having personally experienced and navigated aspects of Latino cultural identity, Abel brings a deep understanding of the unique challenges and strengths within this experience—such as bicultural pressures, generational differences, and mental health stigma within Latino communities. He is dedicated to providing culturally sensitive care that honors clients’ backgrounds while supporting their personal growth.
Abel employs a flexible therapeutic approach that integrates Christian/biblical counseling, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), family systems theory, and elements of dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) to tailor treatment to each client’s unique needs.
