Registration Policy
Walking Worthy: A Journey to Freedom (WW) is a 12 week support group ministry facilitated by the professional counselors from The Rapha House and hosted at ChristChurch Presbyterian. The entire course is 24 weeks and is divided into two 12 week sessions. Our method for providing personal assistance is based on the truths of the Word of God as applied through the philosophy of Exchanged Life, based on Galatians 2:20 and other scriptures related to our identity and sufficiency in Christ.
GROUP FORMATION
Walking Worthy Groups at the Dalton location are formed one to two times per year. A new class requires a minimum number of participants (usually 8) to start and the class registration is closed once a class has started. This provides a confidential place for participants to work together in safety. If you want to take Walking Worthy class but are unsure about the day/time listed, please call us at 706-264-1920 x6 and we'd be happy to answer any questions.
FACILITATOR CREDENTIALS
Facilitators at the Dalton location are licensed therapists in the state of Georgia. Dalton facilitators are trained in listening and helping skills from a Christian perspective and also trained in individual, marital, and family counseling. Other opportunities to take this course in locations (such as Chattanooga, TN) may use lay facilitators under the supervision of a licenced counselor.
EXPECTED CONDUCT
ATTENDANCE
Your consistent participation in WW is critical in order to obtain fruitful results. Excused absences need to be limited and need to be discussed with your facilitator. If attendance becomes an issue, please speak with your facilitator about other options. For the benefit of other participants and yourself, please make every effort to attend each scheduled class meeting.
CONFIDENTIALITY
The communication between you, your Facilitator and other support group members is considered confidential except as required by law, i.e. where there is a threat of serious harm to self or others. Each participant will be required to sign a confidentiality pledge during the first class. Breaches in confidentiality may be grounds for dismissal from the course without a refund.
COST OF CLASS
Completing and signing this Participant Application, is your first step toward joining a WW class. Please be sure the contact information listed is correct. Someone will notify you soon of your admission status.
WW is primarily underwritten by the generosity of our donors. Course fees paid by participants help offset expenses related to materials, handouts and other costs in creating and maintaining a high standard of excellence.
Applications are accepted all year around so please email us at [email protected] for start dates and times of the next set of classes.
